The MeRT℠ Approach
No two people are the same, even with similar symptoms.
It’s important to us that it’s understood we nuture each patient uniquely. Therapy begins by identifying where each individual’s brain is having difficulty communicating. These areas are then specifically nurtured to strengthen their functionality.
Autism Spectrum Disorder affects how a person perceives and receives the external world. Autism patients have difficulty communicating with others, learning new skills or information that is not presented in an easy-to understand manner, handling everyday tasks on their own without constant supervision by adults around them who provide support when necessary because they lack self empowerment due to having difficulties understanding what other people think which leads into various behaviors being exhibited over time such as repetitive motions like flapping hands or rocking back n forth while autistic individuals also often have issues focusing intense attention for long periods at one point instead preferring brief distractions
Developmental Delay Brain Patterns
How can recording the EEG help with Autism Treatment?
A patient with a developmental delay will often have signature indicators that appear in the front 3/4 of the brain. These brainwaves are dominated by a mix of slow (Delta & Theta waves) and high (Beta wave) frequency behavior, whereas a neurotypical patient would usually have one dominant frequency in the alpha band of activity.
By recording the EEG and using that data to create a personalized treatment protocol, we can entrain the front of the brain to be less disorganized and increase whole brain coherence. Often, this results in improved sleep, social behavior and overall better quality of life for the child & the family.
How it helped
She lived in her own little world & we weren’t a part of it
“We suffered very much as a family because we couldn’t be together. My daughter lived in her own little world and we weren’t a part of it… and it hurt, it was extremely painful for our family and for me as her mom knowing that she had no idea who I was.”
